It’s so exciting to see that we are almost at the R250K mark on the donation board!!
Please continue to share this adventure and Logwood’s cause far and wide!
Today was spent resting, sleeping, stocking up on meds and a bit of sightseeing and taking in the Slovenian vibes.
Ljubljana is the capital city of Slovenia, and it is its largest city. It has a large University population and is known for its picturesque vignette and green spaces. The river that runs through the city is the Ljubljanica River and its banks are lined with outdoor cafes, restaurants and bars and it divided the Old Town, where the Crazybikeguys stayed from the commercial hub.
It is littered with museums, interesting architecture, both old and new. It only has a population of about 300000 people, and its population is youthful and is very well known for having one of the oldest philharmonic orchestras in the world.
Julian and Grant loved exploring the city and sitting at the riverside cafes in the late afternoon listening to the many buskers and eating delicious snacks.
Grant really needed this rest day as he wasn’t well and spent a large part of the day having a restorative nap after visiting the pharmacy and stocking up on medication.
Tomorrow is probably the toughest day of all on the bike – over 100km with 1000m of climbing and then a fast downhill into the Italian seaside town of Trieste where they will be for two nights before tackling the Dolomite route.
